This week went by so quickly! We had a wonderful field trip to start out our week, and we ended the week with a Brazilian Independence Day Assembly with music and talented speakers. The field trip to Camara Municipal was very informative. The students were able to simulate a real meeting and many of our 2nd graders volunteered to speak on important issues.
The assembly at the end of the week was awesome. We heard great traditional music, watched a few well spoken skits in Portuguese, and the students taught me a little about their culture when we headed back to class.
