|Miss Allaire's 1st Grade!||
This week was so much fun! Students presented their summative assessments, which consisted of tradition, intricate amazing paper dolls dressed like an ancestor. Along with these dolls came delicious goodies from many families recipe boxes. We were all able to be "risk-takers" and try recipes from places such as Australia, England, Spain, Portugal, Brazil and a special celebration on thursday which was Mexican Independence Day! Along with tasty food, we managed to fit some practice time in for our presentation of We Are Family at hawks@eabh coming up on Friday September 24th. Your kids can really dance!! Although it sounds like a week of eating and fun, students really got a lot out of these presentations. They all recalled some great facts from everyones interviews, and journaled about what they learned.
A yummy messy cake treat from Will via Australia! (good thing we ate these outside!)
Lexie made a huge book of of pictures for us to see! Very interesting!
Kei taught us to make traditional Japanese origami! Kei's were much better than ours, but we will keep practicing!
Hello everyone! My name is Rachel Allaire and I am the 2nd grade teacher at EABH. I have taught in America, but am so thrilled to be here in Brazil with your children. Check out our blogs and photos to see what we do each week in class!
