I gave students limited resources to fill the entire tub with landforms and natural resources. They created wonderful projects, then made up a skit to share with Pre K and 1st grade about their landform tubs.

Students learned about weathering and erosion through a song! In our 4th Unit, we learned all about animals and habitats. Students inquired about how animals breathe and I decided to show them the dissection of a frog online. They were very interested in the muscles, circulatory system and digestive systems. This was a great way to introduce the students to the inside of a body.
It was so wonderful to have guests come talk with our class about different holidays from around the world! Mr. and Mrs. Bigares came in to speak with us about Christmas in Portugal! Diana decorated our classroom and told us all about German Christmas!Carole showed us pictures from France and described French Christmas to us!Ms. Ruth taught us all about Hanukkah! It's always fun to work with adjectives. Last night I made some cookies for the 2nd graders, and decided to turn it into an adjective activity. First, students could only look at their cookie, then write down the adjectives they see. Second, they could touch the cookie, third, smell it, and last but not least, taste! We talked about the adjective we saw, felt, smelt and tasted. Many students liked the cookies and asked for the recipe, and guess what parents, there are fruits AND vegetables in it!
