Students turned their Polar Express tickets in to Mrs. Dermody to catch the train to the movie!
We watched the movie with popcorn and hot cocoa. During the movie students took a break to make necklaces and decorate Christmas Trees.
Little siblings came and enjoyed too!
Students took home a Gingerbread Man cut out, and decorated it with things found in their home. Then they came to school and wrote a story about their Gingerbread and presented it to the whole class.
Pajama Day is always a hit! Today we did a fun centers games which involved number recognition and addition, and created our snow globes using q-tips to paint.
Crazy hair day was also Zero the Hero day!
Students make an edible snowman out of a powdered doughnut, chocolate chips, and an orange mike n' ike.
In this reading center, students put letters together in first, middle, or last place, to create a new word.
Students at the next center, got to play with "snow". Using shaving cream as a textile tool is a great way for students to practice their letters.
Our final center of the day was to make a count down chain using addition.
