We are very lucky to have Mrs. Avila help us with centers every week, but this week
Samiah's older sister came to help us with our math center! St. Patrick's Day was so much fun! we set up our hotels the day before, hoping the leprechauns would enjoy the hotels so much they might leave us something! When school started the next morning, our classroom was a mess! But after we cleaned up a bit, we noticed that the leprechauns left us a teeny tiny note thanking us for the use of our hotels, and shamrock cookies and gold coins!
Students learned about Pi~~~3.14 and participated in several math stations
created by the middle schoolers. At the end of all the stations, students each got a piece of PIE! Our first at home STEM projects were a huge success! Students were only given diameters of using a kleenex box to create something new, and they did a fabulous job! We had a: robot, rocket ship, pepa pig, alligator, ghost trap, guitar, marshmallow launcher, and much more! Lots of our older friends came to do a walk around and see the STEM projects
