|Mrs. McNickle's 1st Grade!||
This week we took some old boxes and turned them into Rural, Suburban, and Urban neighborhoods. Students picked which neighborhood they would like to work on, and created a collaborative project using recycled materials found in the classroom.
The finished products!
Our 2nd grade buddies helped us think of some differences between the Urban, Suburban, and Rural communities. Then students wrote their own sentences about which neighborhood they live in.
Mrs. Louie came into class today to teach an Art Lesson about Chinese New Years! The students absolutely loved having her in the class, and enjoyed the projects they made.
First thing in the morning, we painted our white hearts with watercolors,
and secret messages from our family appeared! What a great way to start the day!

Coffee filter, cut into hearts.
Students scribbled all over the hearts with markers, then splattered water and watched the colored blend together like tie dye! SO easy and fun. They loved it!
I was more excited for the 100th day of school than any other holiday we've had! I created 10 different centers for students and parents to rotate between as they please.
