Today students made their own class collage of foods they found in magazines that were either healthy, or not. Then we discussed the reasons they fell into these categories and began discussing the 5 food groups.
Yes, if you look closely enough on the non-healthy side, one of my students (who will not be named) glued a picture of a Corona! Well, it's FALL, and that means lots of activities involving apples. Today we each got to taste a green apple, a red apple and a yellow apple. Then we graphed the results of each students favorite color apple. We also discussed the different characteristics of each apple-color, size, taste.
I had such a fabulous birthday at school! I was spoiled all day with
flowers and cards and endless hugs. My mom came to spend the day with us and the kids could not have been anymore excited! -We baked pumpkin chocolate chip muffins -My mom read a story to the kiddos It was a perfectly wonderful day :) |
